Hey there. Just a little note here to let you know that we are indeed still alive. As of late, we\’ve been working very heavily on finishing our \”new\” album, which was started — dare I admit– over two years ago. It\’s gonna be pretty crazy when it\’s done. But, you know, that good kind of crazy. A comforting crazy.

We are recording one more little batch of songs in February, and then that should be it. It\’s gonna be 17 or 18 songs total, I think, including a couple instrumentals. Lots of guitars, lots of vocals. No title yet, but some song titles include \”Standing Tall\”, \”Disappointed in Myself\”, \”Guts\”, \”Reckless Words\”, \”I\’ll Just Wait\”, \”All I Can Take\”, \”Something That Rings a Bell\”, and \”It\’s Over\”. (For those who are wondering: yes, that \”It\’s Over\”.)

The idea is that this thing\’ll be out in time for an EARLY summer tour. 2007.

Local and regional shows will be happening sooner than that, so watch this space.

Other 41GB-related news:
Matt M and Tanner, along with their cousin Brad, will soon be doing a show or two performing as Darlington\’s backing band. Darlingtonsex.com will have those details.

I recently traveled up to Tulsa with Beaumont\’s Joe Jitsu to witness and assist with the recording of their new record \”The Perfect Life\”, due out later this year. It\’s gonna be a goodie, that\’s for sure. Very strong songs produced by the very strong producer/ guitar-god/ room-temperature-coffee-drinkin\’-fool Stephen Egerton. I played a \”guest\” guitar solo for one of the songs, but so did Mr. Egerton, so I\’ve already accepted the fact that mine will never be noticed by anyone ever. It just so happens I\’m used to that. Anyway, the boys posted a bunch of pictures from the trip on their MySpace.

I suppose that\’s it. Word to your mother?
