There\’s still a lot to be done on the album, but drum tracks are done and everything else is underway. Hope to know more in a couple weeks.

We finished up drums today, 12 songs total. Tomorrow, I\’ll do a bit of guitar, I think. After that, we head home to finish up everything else and send it back to Stephen for mixing in April.

There are also a few shows coming together. I\’ll post that info right here soonish.

Wait, scratch that.

Current status: in Tulsa, asking tons and tons of questions about ALL and Descendents to Stephen Egerton, then pausing every once and a while to eat some of his precious \”studio candy\” and then, even less often, gutting it up and actually doing some recording.

Matt banged out five very solid songs today, and the plan is to do around that many more tomorrow, then knock out a good bit of guitar stuff on Wednesday.

I must say, it\’s pretty exciting to see the new album FINALLY on its way to being more than just a vague list of tentative titles scribbled in a spiral notebook. Not quite as exciting as the question/answer/candy portion of the sessions, but exciting nonetheless.
