The Star-Telegram did a story on the creepy, abandoned house near mine. Meat locker and all.

Matt M., Tanner and their cousin Brad used to go there at night just to hang out and, I don\’t know, try to make themselves crap their pants, I guess. Once they even returned with an eerie videotape of a \”white figure\” running away from the camera. Even I had to change my pants that night… but that\’s another story.

Alright, it\’s getting close. We just about have studio time booked to finish the new album. It should be official in a day or two, so I\’ll tell you more then. I only post this much now because of how exciting it is to be able to say, \”We\’re almost soon to be done with the new album, maybe!\” Rolls off the tongue nicely.

By the way, thanks to some great bands and some old friends showing up, the last two shows we played were just about as good as they come. A big \”thanxxx\” goes out to The Immigrants and Joe Jitsu for recently having us in Denton and Beaumont, respectively. Two truely great bands whom we\’re proud to share the stage with.

Enough of this. Back to lyrics…

We\’ll be playing at Andy\’s Bar in Denton on Friday the 13th.

My friend Raul just informed that if you search the term \”gorgeous\” on MySpace, our band is the second thing to come up. First on the list is \”Blackout Gorgeous\”. However, more importantly, later on the list is \”Gorgeous Hunks\”. That\’s right, Gorgeous Hunks ranks lower than 41 Gorgeous Blocks.

This whole thing raises some intriguing thoughts. For instance: Why is Raul searching \”gorgeous\” on MySpace?

Since I last cited the Dallas Observer breaking the news that Trees is closing, they\’ve come up with a few ideas of their own for what could be done with the now empty building:
