12/28/2003 | End-o-Year Rambling

First off, I hope everyone had a nice holiday break (that\’s assuming you had a \”break\”, though I know some of you didn\’t- that poor Waffle House cook from last night for instance) and we wish you success in the new year. My New Year advice to you: don\’t believe the hype, create your own. Any advice for us? Post it here.

A big thanks to Henry Holt, Fishboy and those of you who joined us for our last show of 2003. We had a great time and look forward to playing (and doing Mad Libs) at The Moon again real soon. And who knows, maybe that drunk \”dradle\” lady will be there to entertain us all again! Oh and next time, don\’t park at the Radio Shack (Dad). Man, towing is expensive

All of the free promo CDs are gone, but our new album is set to be out in February- more info very soon…

See you at some point.

12/14/2003 | Hello…

A big thanks to Better Than Nothing and The Charismatics for playing with us the other night, and on such short notice. We enjoyed their company a great deal and plan to do it again real soon…

Don\’t forget about our Acoustic Holiday Shindig on the 27th. Info here.

We\’re getting ready to go over to Ice Planet and work on the artwork for our new album.

Two songs from the new album (out in Feb) are now available for download. Just click on \’em:

Christmas (Without You)
I Know When I\’m Not Wanted So I\’ll Go

If you\’re in the Dallas area and you\’d like a free CD version of these 2 songs (with a bonus track), come to the show on Friday. If you aren\’t in the Dallas area (or if you\’re not old enough to get into the show), email us about getting your hands on one.

12/1/2003 | New Album News…

I\’m happy to report that we\’re almost finished mixing the songs for our new album. I say \”almost\” because there\’s still a couple of tweaks that need to happen, but all of the \”hard\” songs are done. By the end of this week, EVERYTHING should be done! The next step will be getting it mastered and then doing the artwork. We\’re shooting for a January release, but you\’ll be able to preview a couple of the songs right here on 41GB.com before that. I\’ll be posting the complete story of the Mixing Saga soon, which will include such great highlights as Deedle staying up for 2 days straight, and then in the 47th hour, as practically a walking zombie, managing to recite the first Adam Sandler comedy album in its entirety (with the help of myself and Matt Morris, of course). Stay tuned for that one…

Also, thanks to those of you on the mailing list that participated in our recent Music Industry Questionare. We got a lot of good answers (and some really funny ones, too). They will be posted here shortly for you to read and agree with/ scorn. Check back tomorrow.

We\’ve got 2 more shows before the end of the year, both with Darlington. One electric, one acoustic. Here\’s the info. Hope to see you there.
