The lovable punk festival that has been making a stir in our community for the last 5 years, known as Yuppie Fest, has been \”shut down\”.

The City of Lewisville did not approve this year\’s request to rent out the usual facility stating that because of how much the festival has grown over the years, they didn\’t want the liabilty.

In reaction to this, Josh Hatfield (founder of Yuppie Fest) is putting on a series of shows at Texas Jive in Denton, calling it \”Yuppie Fest Presents\”. Each shows will include 3 bands that were on this year\’s \”would-have-been\” Yuppie Fest roster.
