Hello and thanks for dropping by the ol\’ site…

First off, we\’re playing an acoustic show on August 8th at Coffee Haus in Arlington. I know, I know: acoustic? Coffee house?! Well, we promise it won\’t be one of those \”this – is – an – acoustic – show – so – we – must – sit – down – and – play – only – our – slow – droany – songs – and – strip – our – set – of – any – energy – it – may – have – previously – contained\” shows. There\’s a couple more shows in the works for August as well, so check back soon for info on those. One\’s at Bar of Soap in Dallas and the other\’s at Curtain Club I believe with Darlington.

Finally, like I mentioned in the previous post, we\’re finishing up the \”pre-production\” stuff for our new album. Things are coming along just nicely and if all goes as planned, we\’ll be looking at a December 2003 release date (that would be pretty lame if it was any later considering one of the songs is a Christmas song. Well, sort of.)

There\’s still some writing that needs to be done, but then it\’s just a matter of us locking ourselves in a hot garage to work out the arrangements until a) they sound perfect, or b) I get hit upside the head with a drumstick 1 too many times and decide that, yeah, it\’s good enough.

THIS JUST IN: Our show on Saturday, July 5th at Moose and Vinney\’s in Dallas is no more. The club decided to act very unprofessional this week, and pulled out at the last minute. Did I mention how much I love clubs? It is being rescheduled for August. Sorry for any inconvenience. More later…

Another \”thanks\” goes out to our friend Josh from 102.1 FM The Edge for having us on his show last Sunday (actually we recorded it a couple weeks before, but ssshhh!). If you missed it, we have it on tape and might be able to post it on the site in the next couple of weeks.

By the way, we are now officially Street Buskers. Recently, we paraded around town armed with our acoustics and portable PA and serenaded the passers-by. The response was really neat (with the exception of that one guy who cornered poor Deedle, begging to borrow his guitar so he could show everyone just how good HE could play \’back in the day\’), so we plan on mybe doing more of this over the next couple of months. Keep your eyes peeled. Except you, guy who cornered Deedle.
